Travel Overload

So I just got back from Winnipeg. My husband and I were visiting my half-sister (we just met last year when I found my birth family). She and I are so alike that I just proves that genetics sometimes have a more to do with our personality than upbringing can. We both love art, drafting, math, and science. We laugh the same, we have the same manerisms, and we even finish each others sentences. Considering that we just spent 29 years apart, this is very amazing to me.

She is pregnant as well. She is due Nov 4. Funny since she was born in May 4, I was born on Oct 4. 4 seems to be a special day. I did ok considering and I she was very considerate about her pregnancy. I think she knew that it was a tough topic for me. I respect her for being so considerate.

Tuesday I leave for NY city. I am just there for a few hours and then I head back to Seattle. Then for the following week, I head to Orlando for company sales conference. My new position at work is definatly creating many travel miles on my frequent flyer accounts. I think I may have to go back to London in Aug to meet with some of my collegues to sync up our work. It just never ends, but I think I love this work. :) I helps me stay busy and keep my mind of the harder parts of life.

Excuses

I know, It's been a long time since I have been online updating my own post and posting on other posts. I have to blame work mostly. I work at a "little" software company, and we just wrapped up or fiscal year. That tends to be an insane time for us. Which usually means that when I get home, I want nothing to do with a computer.

The other excuse I am going to give is that we just got a pet. :) We haven't had a pet in almost 10 years. I have always wanted a kitty, but my husband is totally allergic to them. About a year ago, we read an article about a hypo-alergenic cat, the Devon Rex. Their hair is different than a typical cat. So we made a few inquiries into getting a Devon, but we knew that we didn't want to buy one, we wanted to resue one. Well, in May, we got a reply from a rescue home that there was a 3yo Devon female that needed a home. So my husband and I got to meet her. He had no reaction to her, so we took her home the following week, and it turns out that we can live with this little kitty and no one had any alergic reactions. :) She is such a sweetie and gets tons of our attention.

So now that I am out of excuses, I will update you on all the goings on of my IVF story. I switched clinics and doctors. I am so glad that I switched. The facility, the employees, and my new doctor are very friendly and infomative. I finally have a doctor that I can understand and who explains EVERYTHING! :) I had been waiting for my cycle to return after the mc, which it did yesterday. So now I start taking bcp in 3 more days and clock starts on my next IVF retrieval. What I am really exicted about is that this doctor is going to try to do everything he can to preven OHSS so I can have a fresh cycle.

So that's where things are for now. I will work to be better about updating going forward.
